Built to Boil Fast and Pack Small

Alpine Master 3.8 infrared mesh burner glowing orange while lit

SCS Radiant Burner Boils Fast

A radiant infrared mesh burner (Surface Combustion System) spreads heat evenly across the container base, boiling 1,000ml of water in about 2 minutes 40 seconds.

HES Fin Base Cuts Heat Loss

A finned heat-exchanger base wraps the burner's heat around the container instead of letting it escape into the air.

Folding pot support stand locking onto the side of the stove head

Folding Pot Support Locks Onto the Stove

The pot support stand folds flat for storage and locks onto a hole beside the stove head with a clockwise twist, letting the burner run standard cookware when needed.

Gas canister base that stabilizes the fuel canister during use

Upgraded Gas Canister Base

A newly upgraded base holds the fuel canister steady on flat ground, minimizing the risk of it tipping over during use, and flips over for compact storage.

Alpine Master 3.8 lid, which doubles as a small frying pan

Lid Doubles as a Frying Pan

The fluororesin-coated lid isn't just for keeping heat in -- flip it over and it works as a small frying pan.

Alpine Master 3.8 full kit packed next to its storage pouch

The Whole Kit Packs Into One Pouch

Lid, container, folding stand, stove body, and gas base all pack into a single storage pouch, keeping the full setup grab-and-go for backpacking.

FAQ

Common Questions

Does it come with a gas canister or a lighter?

No -- it runs on screw-type butane gas canisters (230/450g), sold separately, and ignition is manual, so you'll need a lighter or match.

How do I light it?

Turn the control knob counterclockwise to the ON position while lighting the burner with a lighter or match.

Can I use it with a regular pot or pan?

Yes -- the folding pot support stand locks onto the side of the stove head with a clockwise twist, letting it run standard cookware.

Can I use it indoors?

No -- like any gas stove, it's for outdoor use only. Using it indoors, in a tent, or in a vehicle risks carbon monoxide poisoning.

When can I pack the gas canister away?

Only after the product has fully cooled down -- storing a hot canister risks explosion.

From the curator

Why we carry it.

BIGTENT ·Coquitlam, BC

That infrared mesh burner glowing orange is genuinely satisfying to watch work, but it's the gas canister base that sold me -- I've knocked a canister over mid-boil on a lesser stove before, and this one just sits steady. Being able to flip the lid over and fry an egg on it after boiling water for coffee is the kind of two-for-one that actually gets used, not just advertised.
