The arm reaches 580 mm (22.8 in) out and sits 580 mm (22.8 in) above the top, so the lantern hangs over your work instead of taking a slot on it. Set up on a shelf or a table, the light lands on the food and the surface stays free.
The upright post drops into the hole already in your table and the two supplied bolts hold it - the circled knurled screw locks the arm to the post, and a second bolt clamps the post through the table edge. Nothing else to fit, and it comes off the same way at the end of the trip.
Bent from 304 stainless - the grade used where gear gets rained on and washed - so the arm keeps its shape and does not stain. It mounts with M5 bolts, fitting holes 5.5-8 mm (0.22-0.31 in) across on tables up to 30 mm (1.2 in) thick at the hole: a Biloc Octa, Ribera, Corner or Stella, and other IGT tables cut to the same pattern.
The arm and post separate and slide into the carry bag that ships with it - 120 x 650 mm (4.7 x 25.6 in) packed, 0.45 kg (0.99 lb). It travels alongside the table rather than needing space of its own.

Table lanterns end up in the way. They take a slot you wanted for the stove, they get knocked over when you reach across, and they light the table instead of the food. This bolts into the hole that is already in the table and puts the light 580 mm (22.8 in) up and 580 mm out, which is where you actually need it. We run one over a Stella shelf in our own showroom setup. It comes apart into a bag at the end of the trip, so it travels with the table rather than instead of something.
