MOUNT RIVER · COT TENT SYSTEM
Off the ground. Off the roof.
A real bed 40 cm (16 in) off the ground, a tent that clips onto it, and nothing on your roof. Made for one — solo trips, or one each. Three bags ride inside, and the bedroom stays at camp when you drive out. In Korea, Mount River is the No. 1 camp cot brand by units sold.
Ways to get it
- Prefer poly-cotton? Choose the Neo Nest 80 Natural tent set instead — $256.50 USD (reg. $285.00 USD). Its roof cover is for shade, so add the Natural rainfly (sold separately) for rain.
- Express Air — Regular price plus an air charge ($36.14 cot, $39.75 Air tent, $32.53 Natural tent). Ready Nov 5 for orders by Sunday, Oct 25 (11:59 PM PT). The mat isn't available by air.

REVIEWED · TALON SEI ON YOUTUBE
"Insanely comfortable" — and honest about the rest
"Pretty much drum taut… a very comfortable platform."
"Moisture aside, this thing is insanely comfortable."
"A total price of just $584, which I think is great value." (US$, Early Bird)
He also called it "a lot of moving pieces" and woke to condensation on a near-freezing night. Our straight answers are in the FAQ below.
We sent Talon the gear for his review. It wasn't a paid review.
What it doesn't do
Not a one-latch setup.
Plan on 10–15 minutes the first time: four legs, four corners, 20–30 pump strokes. On dry nights, the roof cover in the box is all you add.
A bedroom, not a cabin.
You sit up, change and read; you don't stand. For a living room, pair it with an awning or shelter.
Vents open on humid nights.
Any closed-up tent collects moisture on a cold, humid night. Leave two corner vents open. If it's your biggest worry, the poly-cotton Natural tent breathes better.
Real rain means the rainfly.
The Air roof cover handles showers and dew; sustained rain needs the Air rainfly, sold separately. The Natural tent needs its own rainfly, also sold separately, whenever it rains.
FAQ
How long does setup take?
About 10–15 minutes the first time: click the cot's four leg frames into place, set the tent on the cot and fasten its four corners, then inflate the Air tent to 4.5 PSI — 20–30 strokes with the hand pump in the box, or about a minute with the Air One Pro 22 (sold separately). New decks are cut tight, so the last leg takes real force the first few times; that tension is what keeps the deck flat. It is not a one-latch rooftop tent, and we won't pretend it is.
Can I stand up inside?
No. It's a bedroom, not a cabin: 110 cm / 43.3 in inside the Air tent and 105 cm / 41.3 in in the Natural. You sit up, change and read. For standing room, pair it with an awning or shelter, or put the cot inside a cabin tent.
Will it get condensation?
It can. Any closed-up tent collects moisture on a cold, humid night — rooftop tents and car windows included. Leave two corner vents open and air it out in the morning. If condensation is your main worry, the Natural's poly-cotton breathes better, though moisture can still form depending on temperature, humidity and site.
Roof cover or rainfly — what do I need for rain?
Air: the roof cover in the box (3,000 mm silicone-coated nylon) handles showers, dew and light rain. For sustained or wind-driven rain, add the Air rainfly (sold separately), which covers the whole tent and adds a vestibule. Natural: its roof cover is for shade and debris, not rain, so plan on the Natural rainfly (sold separately). Either way, take the tent down when strong wind, heavy rain or snow is forecast.
Can two people use it?
Each Neo Nest 80 is a one-person room on one cot, so two people use two cots and two tents. Without tents — inside a cabin or shelter — two Wide Cot 80s buckle side by side into a 160 cm / 63 in double, and two Sky Mats join along their Velcro edges.
Will it fit a cot I already own? Can I use it without a cot?
The tents are built for the Wide Cot 80 and cots with the same frame structure and attachment method; a cot from another maker may not fit even at the same size. Both tents also pitch on the ground without a cot, and the cot works on its own.
When will I get it?
Each product page shows two dates: Reserve, on our next container from Korea, and Express Air, on the next weekly flight at regular price plus an air charge. From our warehouse it's about 3–7 business days to you in Canada and 4–10 in the continental US, with no duties or import fees — we cover them. How shipping works →
