5-PERSON AIR CABIN
640 × 400 × 210 cm / 21.0 × 13.1 × 6.9 ft · 33 kg / 72.8 lb · nylon body · built-in USB-C pump
Most air-tunnel tents sag in heavy rain — the roof line bows under wet weight, water pools, the geometry gives up. The Ghost Phantom Air uses a center-ridge air pole that holds the roof straight across the 6.4 m / 21 ft length, even in steady rain.
Body fabric is 40D nylon ripstop with silicone coating at 2,000 mm hydrostatic head — lighter and stronger than the polyester body used in most air-tunnel designs. Sleeps five in an inner tent that tapers from 380 cm to 310 cm; the outer cabin runs the full 6.4 m with stand-up 2.1 m headroom.
A built-in USB-C pump with a KC-certified 2,500 mAh battery inflates the tent twice per charge. A manual hand pump packs alongside for the night you forgot to charge. And if a pole punctures mid-trip, an aluminum spare pole slides into an external sleeve — individual valve locks isolate the leak, the trip continues.

WHY THIS AIR TUNNEL
Removable 7.4 V 2,500 mAh battery, KC-certified, charges via USB-C in about 3.5 hours. Two full inflations from one charge.
A dedicated center-ridge air pole runs the length of the tent — keeps the roof straight in rain instead of bowing under wet weight.
Each air pole has its own valve lock. If one punctures, isolate it, slide the aluminum spare pole into the external sleeve, finish the trip.
40D nylon ripstop with silicone + PU coating at 2,000 mm hydrostatic head. Lighter and tougher than the polyester body used in most air-tunnel tents.
High-clarity front TPU window ships in the basic kit. Other tents in this class sell the panel separately.
Double-zipper side center door fully detaches for summer airflow, seals for winter. A door pocket stows the removed panel out of the way.
WHAT IT REPLACES
STRUCTURE
Standard tunnel-tunnel air tents bow at the middle under heavy rain — water pools, the geometry collapses. The center-ridge air pole runs full length, holding shape under load.
RELIABILITY
Air tents fail at single points — one punctured pole, trip over. This kit ships with an aluminum spare pole that slides into an external sleeve, plus individual valve locks per pole to isolate leaks.
MATERIAL
Most air-tunnel tents use polyester bodies because nylon costs more. The Ghost Phantom Air uses 40D nylon ripstop with silicone coating — abrasion resistance and tear strength scale up where it matters.
KIT COMPLETENESS
The front TPU window panel and two ⌀ 19 mm aluminum upright poles for awning configurations are included in the basic accessory case — not sold as add-ons later.

Advanced details
Kovea warrants the tent against material and workmanship defects for 1 year from purchase. Coverage includes body fabric, roof, inner tent, groundsheet, air-beam tubes, built-in pump, and KC-certified battery. Excludes wear from normal use, storage damage, and abuse.
The built-in pump runs on a 7.4 V / 2,500 mAh Li-ion battery, KC-certified under Korean safety standards (cert. XLR07503-24009). USB-C charging port, DC 5 V / 1.6 A input, ~3.5 hour full charge, 2 inflations per charge. Battery is removable for off-tent charging.
At 16.12 kg / 35.5 lb chargeable weight (volumetric), this tent fits under our 30 kg / 66.1 lb air-freight limit — the only mainline tent in our lineup that does. Add the $50 CAD air option at checkout for approximately 7-business-day delivery. Ocean standard is 12-18 business days from Vancouver warehouse.
Per Kovea: inflate all air tubes fully, then close the 3 upper connector valves to isolate the suspect pole and prevent overall pressure loss. Identify the leak location, then insert the included aluminum spare pole (⌀ 16 mm) into the external sleeve at that pole. Continue camping.
Things to know before buying
What this tent is, who it fits, and the setup learning curve.
This tent IS
A 5-person air-beam tunnel tent for vehicle-based family camping. Nylon body at 2,000 mm waterproof, inner tent included, front TPU window included, built-in USB-C pump with hand-pump backup, aluminum spare pole for emergency repair.
Setup learning curve
First-time setup typically 25-30 minutes while you learn the air-beam valve sequence, the spare-pole sleeve location, and the upright-pole awning configuration. Second pitch onward, 15-20 minutes solo with the built-in pump running.
Accessory compatibility
Currently no BigTent-stocked accessories are confirmed compatible with this specific Kovea model. The Ghost Phantom Air ships complete — front TPU window, side mesh panels, upright poles, spare pole, pegs, and groundsheet are all in the box.
Warranty & returns
1-year manufacturer warranty against material and workmanship defects. Aluminum spare pole in kit handles puncture emergencies. 30-day returns from BigTent in original condition. No import duties — full purchase price refunded.
IN THE BOX
Main case holds the body kit; the accessory case carries the inner tent, poles, and repair spares.

FREQUENTLY ASKED
Air pressure naturally drops as temperatures cool — interior air contracts. This is normal for any air tent. Top up with the built-in pump when the frame feels soft. The center-ridge pole holds the roof straight even with mild pressure drop.
Each air pole has its own valve lock. Inflate all tubes fully, close the 3 upper connector valves to isolate the leak, identify the affected pole, then slide the included aluminum spare pole into the external sleeve at that location. Trip continues.
The built-in pump runs about 3-5 minutes during inflation. First-time users typically need 25-30 minutes total setup (learning valves and awning poles). Second pitch onward, 15-20 minutes solo.
Two full inflations from a single charge. For a typical 2-night camping weekend with one setup and one teardown, that is two inflations — enough. Charge via USB-C in about 3.5 hours from any standard power bank or car USB-C port.
Nylon 40D ripstop is lighter and stronger against tearing than the equivalent-weight polyester. The trade-off is cost. Most air tunnels use polyester because it costs less; this one uses nylon throughout the body and roof with silicone + PU coating.
A dedicated air pole running along the centerline of the tent, in addition to the side poles. It holds the roof line straight in rain — standard air tunnels without it bow at the middle under wet weight.
Tent body + inner tent + groundsheet + roof + front TPU window + 2 side mesh panels + 2 upright poles (aluminum, for awning configurations) + spare aluminum pole + USB-C battery + hand pump + 25 steel pegs + 10 strings + 2 carry cases.
BigTent imports directly and covers a 1-year manufacturer warranty for material and workmanship defects. The KC-certified battery is covered by the same warranty.
FROM THE CURATOR
"We added Kovea to the brand list specifically because of this tent. Air-tunnel buyers who have owned a sagging tunnel through one rainy weekend know exactly why the center-ridge pole matters — it is the difference between waking up to a flat roof and waking up to water pooling overhead. The aluminum spare pole in the basic kit reads as careful product thinking: most air tents leave that gap and the brand-new owner finds out the hard way. The nylon body is the same kind of small upgrade decision that adds up over years of use. At this price tier the front TPU window being included rather than upsold is the third small thing that converts shoppers."
