Two chairs, packed as one

Two chairs, one case

The case opens flat into two halves, one chair to a side. A pair then travels as a single piece of luggage instead of two loose chairs sliding around the trunk. Chairs sold separately.

Padded walls, removable divider

Foam fills the shell, so knocks in transit land on padding instead of on a chair frame. The divider down the middle lifts out, and while it is in place the two chairs never touch.

Handles that stay comfortable loaded

The top handles are padded where your fingers close around them. You notice it on the walk in from the car, with both chairs inside.

INVISTA CORDURA shell

The outer fabric is CORDURA polyester, chosen for abrasion resistance. It is the surface that ends up dragging across tailgates and gravel.

YKK zippers

Two pulls meet along the opening. The case folds right open, so a chair lifts straight out instead of being worked through a gap.

Which chairs does it fit?

It is built around the FD Chair originated by Snow Peak, and holds two of them. Other folding chairs that fold to a similar shape may fit, but they are not what the case was measured against.

Are the chairs included?

No. The case ships with its removable centre partition and nothing else. Chairs are sold separately.

What is the centre partition for?

It sits between the two chairs so the frames do not rub against each other in transit. It lifts out if you would rather use the full width for a single chair.

What is it made of?

The shell is INVISTA CORDURA polyester 100% with foam padding inside, and the zippers are YKK.

How big is it and what does it weigh?

70 x 60 x 16 cm, and 1.53 kg empty.

We carry a lot of chairs, and the chairs are never the problem. Getting two of them into a car without one gouging the other is the problem. This case solves that narrowly and well.

The part worth looking at is the divider. It is a separate padded panel rather than a stitched-in wall, so you can pull it out and use the full width when you are only carrying one chair.

Check your chair before you order. The case is measured around the FD Chair. If yours folds to a different shape, measure it against 70 by 60 by 16 cm first.
