WHAT THIS IS

An air-frame shelter you can carry on your back.

Upright walls. Panoramic view. Black-coated rain fly. Two inner-tent options.

The TN600 sits in the middle of the Gopamir air-shelter lineup — larger and more livable than the G450 tunnel, smaller and more portable than the T720+ living shelter. Its defining feature is the geometry: upright poles instead of curved arches, which converts more of the footprint into usable interior space at head height.

Setup is a single-valve inflation. The air-frame replaces traditional poles entirely — you connect the valve, lock it, and pump. Once inflated, the structure holds rigid in the same way a tensioned dome does, but assembles in a fraction of the time and packs flat afterward.

The shelter pairs with a modular accessory system: two inner-tent fabric options (T/C cotton or nylon), a groundsheet, an inner liner, TPU window swaps for side and front panels, and a spare pole. You build the kit you want for the trip you have.

For weatherproofing, the rain fly carries a black inner coating — interior stays cooler in daytime and darker for sleep. Window panels are split between mesh (ventilation) and TPU (light entry with weather blocked), so you choose your tradeoff at setup time.

THE BUILD

How it goes together.

Six close-ups of the build, the carry, and the windows.

Upright wall geometry showing vertical pole arrangement

Upright walls, panoramic view.

Vertical pole geometry means usable space at head height. Stand, sit, store gear along the walls. Panoramic mesh and TPU windows wrap around for visibility.

Air connect and lock system valve detail

Air connect and lock.

Single-valve inflation. Connect the pump, lock the valve, inflate. The air-beam structure replaces poles entirely and holds rigid once pressurized.

Backpack-portable packed form factor

Packs onto a backpack.

Packed at 70 × 50 × 40 cm. The carry format is backpack-style — unusual for a shelter of this interior volume. Walk into the site, not just drive to it.

Rain fly with black inner coating reducing light transmission

Black-coated rain fly.

The rain fly has a black inner coating. Interior runs cooler in daytime sun, darker at night for sleep. Same coating also blocks UV transmission.

Mesh panels and TPU windows on side wall

Mesh and TPU windows.

Mesh panels for ventilation in fair weather, TPU windows for light when the fly closes everything else off. Swap-in TPU panels sold separately.

Gopamir TN600 spare pole laid out showing duralumin finish

Don't switch unless you have to.

The pole that ships with the shelter is the primary. The spare is backup — same duralumin A7001-T6, identical dimensions. Use it only when the original breaks or goes missing.

Inner tent installation inside main shelter showing two fabric options

Two inner tent options.

T/C cotton blend (breathable, four-season) or lightweight nylon (summer). Both sold separately. Pick by trip: cotton for cool weather, nylon for hot.

HOW IT WORKS

A frame that inflates, not threads.

Four close-ups of what makes this build different from a pole-and-sleeve tent.

Interior view of the TN600 air-beam frame, inflated beams arching across the ceiling in place of poles

AIR-BEAM STRUCTURE

Pressurized geometry, not poles.

The air-beam network replaces aluminum poles. Once pumped to working pressure, the beams hold rigid the same way a pole-tensioned dome does — no sleeve threading, no shock-cord assembly.

Close-up of the TN600 rain fly fabric showing the silicone-coated surface and stitched seam

FABRIC BUILD

N40D ripstop, silicone both sides.

Main skin is silicone-coated on both faces. Tear strength 18 kg (ISO 13937-4), water pressure 5,000 mm+. Rain fly carries silicone outside and black PU inside — 10,000 mm+ water column, UV resistance 95-97%.

TN600 packed in backpack-format carry bag with person shouldering it for a trail approach

CARRY FORMAT

Packs onto your back. Walks into camp.

At 70 × 50 × 40 cm packed, the shelter fits a backpack-format carry bag. Total 21 kg — not a thru-hike weight, but a shoulder-from-car carry instead of duffle-and-drag. Reaches sites that don't have drive-up access.

TN600 inner tent options laid out showing T/C cotton and nylon fabrics side by side

BUILD YOUR KIT

Pick the inner, pick the windows.

Two inner-tent fabric options (T/C cotton for four-season, nylon for summer). Mesh window panels swap to TPU for clear-weather visibility. Inner liner, groundsheet, spare pole sold separately. You buy the kit you actually use.

Things to know before you buy.

This shelter IS

A mid-size air-frame shelter with upright walls and backpack-format carry. Built for two-night-plus stays where you want sit-down livable space without the labor of a pole-and-sleeve tent. Pairs with a modular accessory system you build over time.

This shelter IS NOT

Not an ultralight backpacking tent — 21 kg packed is not thru-hike weight. Not a solo shelter — interior volume is sized for 3-4 sleeping plus gear. Not a four-season expedition tent on its own; pair the T/C cotton inner for cold-weather use.

Setup learning curve

First setup takes about 20 minutes solo while you learn the valve sequence. After two or three uses, expect 10-15 minutes for full pitch including stake-out. No pole threading, no sleeve routing. The included hand pump does the work in one pump cycle.

Pack weight reality

21 kg (46.3 lbs) is not solo-portable across distance — it's a shoulder-from-car carry, not a hike-in carry. Practical for car-camp staging, drive-up sites, or short approaches. Walking more than 1-2 km, plan for two people splitting the load.

1-year manufacturer warranty

Covers material and workmanship defects, including air-frame seam separation and valve failure from normal use. Wear-and-tear, accidental damage, and modifications are not covered. Spare air-beam pole is included in the box for field repairs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions, answered.

Answers to what people ask before buying their first air-frame shelter.

How does this compare to the G450 and T720+?

The G450 is a lower curved-tunnel design — lighter setup, but interior is sloped. The T720+ is a larger living shelter for car-camping base camps. The TN600 sits in the middle: upright walls for usable head-height space, but still small enough to backpack-carry.

What inner tent should I get — T/C cotton or nylon?

T/C cotton breathes better, manages condensation better, and works for four-season use. Nylon packs smaller, weighs less, and is fine for summer trips. Many people own both and swap depending on the trip.

Is an air pump included?

Yes — a hand pump is included with the shelter. Single-valve inflation, one pump cycle. The shelter also ships with the rain fly, 3 mesh doors, a spare air-beam pole, 14 aluminum pegs, and a backpack-format carry bag.

How long does setup take?

Single-valve air-frame inflates in one pump cycle. Realistic field setup including staking out is 10-15 minutes solo, faster with two people. No pole threading or sleeve routing.

What does the black coating on the rain fly do?

It blocks light transmission through the fly. Interior stays cooler in daytime sun, darker at night for sleep. The coating also blocks UV, which helps fabric longevity over years of use.

Can I swap the side or front windows for TPU?

Yes — the TPU Side Window (GOP-TN600-TS) and TPU Front Window (GOP-TN600-TF) are designed as swap-ins for the mesh panels. Useful for cold-weather trips when you want light in but air out.

What's the warranty?

One-year manufacturer warranty. Covers material and workmanship defects, including air-frame leaks from normal use. Wear-and-tear, accidental damage, and modifications are not covered.

Shipping — how long and how much for air?

Air freight ships from the Korean warehouse every three weeks, clears BigTent's BC warehouse, then goes to your address — total transit two to five weeks. Cost is calculated by package weight at checkout. No hidden fees: duties, brokerage, and taxes are covered by BigTent.

FROM THE CURATOR

Why we carry this one.

BIGTENT ·Coquitlam, BC

Gopamir's air-shelter lineup runs from the G450 (small, low tunnel) to the T720+ (large car-camp living shelter). The TN600 sits in the gap most people actually camp in — enough interior volume to stand up and store gear along the walls, but small enough to fit on a backpack and walk to a site.

The upright-wall geometry is the engineering decision we keep coming back to. It converts what would be sloped wasted space in a curved tunnel into headroom you actually use. We carry it for the customer who's outgrown a backpacking tent but doesn't want a full car-camp setup.
